Sainsbury money off coupons and the meaning of "wine"

I regularly get vouchers with x £ off a shop of z £ from Sainsbury's. The rules say that I can't use them for spirits and liqueurs but wine is fine. So... is a dry Sherry or Port a liqueur or a wine?

If you look on Sainsburys website they come under the heading of spirits. If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.2

Sherry, port and vermouth count towards the £x off £y coupon. As my friend works for Sainsburys bought a bottle of port and sherry for her grandmother's birthday and the staff discount applied.

@briskbeats Hm... sounds good... BUT does that staff discount work in the same manner or with the same restrictions as the usual customer vouchers? I've never worked for Sainsbury's so I've got no idea at all about that.

So, to put this item to bed for good... I've now gone to my local S and got myself a nice bottle of Port and a Fino for hubby... and @briskbeats is right: Sherry and Port do count towards those money off coupons, ie they are not spirits or liqueurs.
So, everybody happy now.0 -
