Dear All
I was wondering if it was possible have your council tax banding lowered because of antisocial behaviour? I have to put up with a lot of issues I would not have not expected with my council tax band: vandalism, noise, fly-tipping and dog fouling for example. Unfortunately it is not possible to identify, and hence deal with, the perpetrators so I would like a reduction in my council tax so I can improve the security of my home (e.g. CCTV) to discourage antisocial individuals.
Your advice will be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards

Anti-social behaviour in the area isn't going to get you any reduction in council tax.
I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0
