NI contributions after retirement

I'm retired, and thinking about getting a part time job. Will I pay the 1.25% NI contributions on earnings over my personal allowance, or on the total amount including my pension income?

Earnings only, if you are under state pension age you will also pay the standard 12% NI on earnings.

Following the recent announcement that the general increase in NI contributions is to be scrapped, does anyone know whether this includes the scrapping of the proposal that pensioners over state retirement age who work part time start paying NI contributions?

Yes it does.  The whole 1.25% surcharge, which is what the SRA+ contribution was, has been scrapped.

Same for dividends, the additional 1.25% due to be added to three of the four dividend rates isn't happening now.

And of course the top rate has been completely abolished (subject to any uturns!)
