Thanks-will get in touch with a local broker. If you or anyone out there knows of any good brokers/lenders who have dealt with complicated situations/poor credit and might be able to help, I’d be v grateful.0

No, selling your home and renting or buying a smaller place would reduce your debt.I don’t think that Santander are doing anything wrong here, you are massively in arrears and they are entitled to enforce the mortgage terms that you agreed to.Kitty97 said:Losing our home and business will put us deeper in debt not to mention the issue with our child. We’re in a position to address the situation which if they worked with us would improve things still further. This action will put us in a worse position than we ever were. Ombudsman is looking into it due to pre-action protocol.
I think that you need to shift your focus now into finding a new home and moving on.1 -
Surely there is a typo here? To have £100K arrears on a £125K mortgage the account would need to be several years behind in payments.I am a Mortgage Broker

Yes, as I posted above the numbers don’t seem to match the story.amnblog said:Surely there is a typo here? To have £100K arrears on a £125K mortgage the account would need to be several years behind in payments.
Unfortunately I think the OP isn’t keen to explain further.0
