E: 16/02 Win a week for four in France
Sunday Times Where Was I? competition
(www.thetimes.co.uk/travel/where-was-i)
The prize:
The winner and up to three guests will stay for a week, self-catering, at Maurice’s House, in the grounds of the 18th-century Château de la Ruche north of Le Mans. A former outbuilding of the château, the two-bedroomed house has been restored in a pretty, pared-back style, with exposed beams on the upper floor and a big rustic kitchen.
Beyond the grounds of the château lies la France profonde – deeply rural and full of delicious things to eat and drink. St Céneri le Gérei, listed among the country’s most beautiful villages, is just 30 minutes away by car.
Also included are return Portsmouth-Caen crossings for a car and four people, and a four-berth cabin, with Brittany Ferries – which has up to seven crossings a day to France from Portsmouth, Plymouth and Poole, as well as services to Spain.
The prize must be taken before February 15, 2023, excluding July, August and other school and public holidays with the exception of October half-term, subject to availability.
