Dental question re root retreatment

Eros

I had recent molar root canal retreatment on 4 roots with a final restoration session to come with my Endodontist in a couple of weeks. I have no pain at night and for the first couple of hours after getting up. I then experience pain (3 out of 10) which comes and goes through the day.
It is now 11 days since my last appointment should I still be getting pain?
Incidentally I find no over the counter pain killers help. Is that usual?
Thanks

They can take a while to settle down - months sometimes to be completely free of any sort of twinges - but the best person to be asking this question to will be the dentist who did it.
It would be worth a phone call to the practice to ask for their opinion. How to find a dentist.
1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.0
