Potential Off peak ticket rail changes

Can’t read the full article but there is a potential change to the off peak times to replace the cliff edge change at around 9.30 to a sliding scale.

Personally I’m not in favour - I use this and a railcard to cut the cost of going to work from £55 at 9am to around £17 if I go at 10. I don’t need to go in every day (or even every week) so a season ticket is a waste of money but when I do, I need to get there as early as possible or it’s not worth going in at all….

SW Railway have an intermediate band called off peak from 9.30 to midday when super offpeak starts. The off peak is not much of a reduction from the full fare so in the Thames valley it pays to go to a GWR station if there is one nearby and travel from there - at the moment by the sound of it..
