in Cutting tax
Hi, I've received communication today that my tax code has changed, and when I checked it is because the allowance for working from home has stopped. I thought I just needed to claim again, however the system defaults to a message saying I don't need to claim as I will get any allowances automatically carried over.
Has the Working From Home Allowance been stopped?
Thank you.

Is it a Tax Code Notification change for 2022/23 rather than just the last few months of this year?
If so thats perfectly normal, you just have to apply again at the start of the next tax year.1 -
If you claimed for WFH due to Covid-19 why do yo think it should still be included in your 2022:23 tax code?0

Thank you Emma. I'll look again in April.
Dazed_and_Confused - We are still taking a lot of safety precautions at work and limiting the amount of people on the site. This is ongoing and will, apparently, continue through much of the year.0 -
Well just go and look at the letter. Is it informing you your tax code for 22/23 goes back to 1257L or is it saying its gone down to that with immediate effect?0

So if you wish to make a non Covid-19 WFH claim you will need to meet the, much more stringent, criteria for that.0
