Galentine’s Day takes place on the 13th February, the day before Valentine’s Day, and is a celebration of female friendship. Made famous by Amy Poehler’s Leslie Knope in the TV series Parks and Recreation in 2010, it was created as a tribute to her close girlfriends – her ‘gals’.
