Newly bankrupt questions

Options
Hi everyone I was made bankrupt beginning of January I have had a telephone interview with the OR he asked me to send him a few bits of information and I've had a letter to say he will not need to interview me again but today I had a call from his colleague who said hes been asked to investigate my house sell this was very nearly 6 years ago and I got £18,000 equity half of this was used to pay off cost involved to sell the house but he's asking me for proof where this money went but I don't have any records and can no longer access my accounts to get figures what will happen? I'm so worried
Second question when will I be contacted about payments towards my bankrupcy I feel like I'm in limbo and just want to get back on track

Just be honest with them, if you have no records, tell them you have no records.

If the OR has said he`s done with you, there may not be an IPA.

For an IPA to be made, you must have at least £20 per month disposable income.

Do you still know the account details of the bank the money moved through? If so, just tell them that, they can get the statements themselves.

The reason for the query is that, if you gifted money to a family member within the last 5 years, it could potentially by claimed back from the OR. But there are rules around it, so it depends on the circumstances. If you used the money for your own expenses then there is nothing to worry about.

Unless you‘ve actually had the call to say that you won’t be subject to an IPA then you may yet be waiting for assessment. The person that calls you to go through your bankruptcy application is not the same person that does the IPA calculations.

They’ll just want to know if you’ve gifted the money to anyone or if, it’s sitting in an account somewhere or if you settled a debt to the detriment of your other creditors.
If you tell them which bank you were with at the time, they’ll be able to get the information from them.
