Lowell Constantly Harrassing
Options

Approx. two years ago I started receiving texts and phone calls from Lowell regarding debt held in someone else's name for an unpaid bill for SSE whom I have never used. I just ignore them all. To get them to stop I have to register on their website with my name and that's something I don't want them to do!
Does anyone have any experience of this and getting it to cease?

Can you not just block the number?

For phone calls I've blocked all the numbers they have used but they just start using another. Blocking texts numbers makes no difference as the texts just keep appearing.0

Send them a formal letter stating that you do not own the debt and that further calls or texts will be considered harassment. Then report them to the ICO for misuse of your personal data if they continue.

If its been two years, and they had the right debtor, you would have had a letter by now, in fact more than one.
Writing to them is probably a double edged sword, don`t get too technical, a simple "I am not the debtor you are looking for" should suffice, the problem then though is they will want you to confirm your details, which gives them more leverage against you, you may not want to do that, and hey presto, were back at square one again.
If you haven`t had any letters, and there`s nothing about this debt on any of your credit files, then the simplest solution is to just get another sim card.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. I had thought about the new sim card but that means changing my number everywhere. They obviously don't know my name or address so like you said, I don't want to introduce that to them! I'll have to give it some more thought!0
