Game - worlds' worst customer care?

In a way a similar complaint to that made by foreign correspondent earlier. when every thing goes right Game are very good, but if not they are terrible. Although a computer game was clearly stolen in a sorting office and only the opened package and recipt delivered - note to self: never use Royal Mail again - I have had no response from Game to help me in any shape or form.
I note from foreign correspondent that they have a telephone number, if this could be posted I would appreciate it. Mind you after calling about twenty times in the past I never got through. I even queried this with the staff at their shops and they have the same problem.
I tried to obtain their telephone number and email address from Companies House as well as the email address of the MD or chairman with no luck. Again if anybody can help to seek out these details I would be very happy.
By going through every option at the Royal Mail's automated call centre I eventually got through to a person. The method to receive compensation is for RM to send a form and envelope and you return proof of purchase and the packaging. Alternatively send the items to the original company who then will make the claim - I don't see Game being up to that. I will obviously approach the credit card company if all else fails.
The following is the content of my third email sent to Game which also highlights the poor response of the shops...
"This is the third message concerning the non-arrival of order number xxxxxxxxxxx. I had requested that you contact me urgently and you have not.
Although the loss of the order is likely to be due to theft at a sorting office, Game has done nothing to inspire confidence. You are not contactable by telephone, even when you were calls were never answered. I have just deleted my pre-order for Haze and will not proceed with any further orders until you have at least made contact.
On checking the price of Call of Duty I note that it is £39.99 instead of the online price of £29.99 on my order date of 6 December. As a measure of goodwill I would appreciate the difference to be credited to my account or a similar amount added to my loyalty points. I will attempt to purchase the game from your St Albans store this morning.
I would also expect you to assist me in recovering the money I have lost by this theft. I have already suggested that I deliver the jiffy bag and receipt/advice note to a store. If to be returned to your office please provide me with a contact name and address.
The lack of customer care also appears to extend to your shops. I attempted to telephone both shops in Hemel Hempstead and the one in St Albans before 4pm yesterday. Nobody bothered to pick the phone up and the St Albans branch even put the answer phone with the message 'please call back later'. Attempting later the phone was clearly taken off the hook as my Virgin call back was never returned."
Boy, I feel much better now. Bless MSE and all who sail in her.

Hi I just got through on the number above and they refunded me no probs, was holding for about 10 minutes though and the 08 number costs 10p per minute so glad I got the other one.
Never had a problem with Game but I had emailed and not heard from them after 5 days so thought I'd go direct to phone.DFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

Eventually resolved a couple of days ago. It did require a letter to the MD however. I'll keep a note of the saynoto870 site, thanks for that. It seems I was just an unluckychappie.0
