Has anyone had any recent experience with/know how long Barclays are taking to respond to FTB mortgage application at the moment please?

  • Hi, we've just been through the process with Barclays as FTB of a new build, we used Trussle as our broker (they have a 5 day speed promise - but I'm not sure if that means Barclays prioritises their cases or not).

    Weds 26th Jan: Application submitted
    Mon 31st Jan: Property valuation
    Mon 31st Jan: Offer made
Weds 2nd Feb: Offer arrived in the post

The slow part was actually being notified by the broker,  if you can get access to Barclays TrackIt, you'll find out sooner. I had to ask them on Tuesday 1st Feb to confirm the offer on TrackIt was correct.

Thanks for that, we are FTB purchasing a new build too so hopefully it'll be something similar. The surveyor contacted us today after our application was submitted on Friday so I'm hoping our time frame will be similar to yours! I've tried logging into TrackIt but not sure what the log on details are as our mortgage advisor did our application

Have you had to sign your mortgage declaration from Barclays? If so, this will have a case id on it which is 16 digits - if you copy digits 5 - 12 (should start with a 9 and end just before the two 0's at the end) this should be your track it id.
