Anyone dealt with Clydesdale Bank recently?

We are currently in the process for a residential mortgage at 70% LTV with Clydesdale, however they keep requesting exactly the same documents again and again, on top of that we have a move in date which is fats approaching, I wanted to understand is this normal with Clydesdale or have we got ourselves a not so good* broker?

I've had very bad experiences with Clydesdale, so it wouldn't surprise me. Be worth establishing with your broker whether they are requesting the same document, or whether they are requesting the same doc in a different way. I.e. have you provided bank statements which do not include your name and/or address and they want to see a statement which includes this

Its the same document unfortunately, no mention of names/ address or even format of file, is there any way of escalating the application at all?

Hi, I do hope this issue has been resolved by now, but I thought I’d pass on that my broker told me that Clydesdale prefer to receive PDFs for everything. (I’m currently waiting on a mortgage offer from them from 21/2.) If you google ‘Clydesdale packaging requirements’ you’ll get to the intermediaries page, and on there it says clearly that they are only able to process documents that have been physically scanned! I’m hoping this is only for extra supporting letters and not my payslips which were digital ones & already in a PDF format, as I didn’t print & scan these. My broker was a bit vague on the details, but it could be worth checking as lenders all seem to have slightly different rules?
