Good morning, dry at the moment here.
Yesterday was a nasty cold blustery day with rain and sleet. I went to the shops and that was all, we were in for the rest of the day just pottering.
I finished a card that worked out nicely, and tidied some drawers.
I don't think that today is going to be very exciting either, no plans to do anything. Alnwick G*rden is open again, and I know all the spring biulbs will be shooting away, but if today 's weather turns out like yesterday it's no fun.
We'll go as soon as we can, maybe one day next week.
Camelot, you were asking about the orange curd - it tastes lovely, I think it's a bit soft though, maybe I should have simmered it a bit longer. I used a recipe for lemon curd which I found in a cookery book belonging to my mother in law after she died. It is in her handwriting and dated 1965, not that I knew her then.
I made it in an ancient double boiler that belonged to my own mother.. It's looking a bit care worn now, but I still use it occasionally.
Glad you don't have the lurgy Bella, you seem to be cracking on in the house.
Hope everyone is ok today, and that everyone has as good a day as they can. Thinking of our poorly people.
Take care folks
