Black Pudding

Stupid question...

Anyone got any ideas of what i can do with black pudding?  had a good sort out of the freezers and i seem to have a black pudding problem!

i need some inventive ways of using it up because i have about 3 years supply even if i have a fry up once a week!

I chop it up and mix it with lamb in a hotpot husband loves it.
Chop it up and use it to make scotch eggs.
In spain it's often mixed with scrambled eggs.

Meatballs? Mix it into some mince?
  • Hi,

    Black pudding and haloumi stack.
Grilled and layered and finished off with a bit of balsamic vinegar.
Eat with some nice bread and good olive oil for dipping.
    And a rocket side salad

Have it cold in a sandwich with piccalilli - tastes better than it sounds!

Chuck it in the food processor with left over cold meat and onion (doesn't matter what kind but pork is good) to mince it up.  Add breadcrumbs and an egg, season and make a meat loaf.  Good hot with mash, veg & gravy or cold with chips, beans etc.
Be kind to others and to yourself too.

Best use of black pudding was when a diner/caff somewhere did a special celebrating the full solar eclipse.  Fried egg with a slice of black pudding covering the nice cooked yolk.  But I don't think we're expecting an eclipse any day soon.....

OH did a dish of black pudding and apples - a nice combination.
