Hair transplant in turkey

Options
Asking on behalf of a colleague, who doesn't use forums.  He's looking to have a FUE hair transplant in Turkey, but isn't sure how to find the best clinic.  We found a website called 'whatclinic' but unsure if the reviews are genuine.  no one else he knows has had it done, so cant ask for a recommendation.

turkey seems to be very popular due to the prices and amount of transplants they do.

I hope this was the correct forum to ask in

Any advice for him please?  Other than buy hair clippers and shave it all off? (We've suggested this several times)

Any medical procedures done abroad have the added complications of 'what happens if something goes wrong'?

Can you get back quickly? Would any medical insurance cover you in the event of anything happening out there needing further medical intervention (developing an infection, for example)? Most travel insurance policies specifically exclude complications of medical procedures.

What if all the transplanted hair fell out after a couple of weeks? Would there be any comeback? Clinics may say 'satisfaction guaranteed' - but if that's in a country with no advertising regulations, or consumer protections then where would you be?

people aren't washing machines, where if a part doesn't work, you buy and fit a new part, and it works again. People have a wide range of responses to all medical procedures, no matter how good the surgeon. Chances are, he'll be somewhere in the normal response range, but what if he isn't?

Plus - over the years, being up at the head end of the body, I've seen a few patients with hair transplants. I have yet to see a decent one! Clippers are by far and away the best idea!
    How to find a dentist.
    1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
    2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
    3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
    4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.
