    Thanks.
I suspect I'll need a current clamp to read if generation is surplus. My Smart Meter display gives me the info but as far as I can see, there is no API to get the data out of it.
I was hoping there was a commercial product that did something suitable but I might need to dust off my programming and electrical skills! :o
Have you looked at 'Glowmarkt ?

Sort of - they don't have anything in stock that supports real time & V2 Smart Meters - but might have this month!
A reply on the Glowmarkt forum suggested that things might be back in stock in another month or so

By way of thread closure, I ended up going DIY.

Mix a Wemos D1 Mini microcontroller, a current transformer for house power, an optical sensor for generated power, wireless sockets and some very out of practise programming and I have a working charge controller.

Cost in bits about £50, cost in time - more hours than I care to mention!  :)

    Well done!

A friend, in France, has just received a consignment of LiFePo batteries from China, courtesy of Alibaba. He already has the solar panels, inverter, BMSs, etc. Just waiting to hear how hw joins them all up.
