"Monzo is a branchless bank, with customers able to carry out the majority of their banking needs through the Monzo app. Customers can also deposit cash at Paypoint, which is available in over 28,000 convenience stores, corner shops and retailers across the UK," a spokeswoman for the bank said.

There's no charge from any of the other banks for depositing cash at the Post Office.4 -
Also didn't point out the many paypoint sites refuse to accept deposits onto Monzo, either due to training or the costs incurred from Paypoint to the shop.3

I'm surprised at this, up to now I was under the impression 'Post Office banking' was introduced as a cheapish, permanent feature of most banks basic and some current accounts - precisely because of the loss of thousands of bank branches and no doubt thousands more losses to come. I will be surprised if it ends in 2026.0

The key detail to share when topping up your Monzo card is to tell the cashier they need to swipe it on their PayPoint machine, not to try and use the chip.2 -
I don’t think this will disappear in 2025, unless cash suddenly disappeared.
We’ve only major bank now in our town, nearest for 30 min drive. Whilst a lot of people have switched to them, many businesses and such haven’t and we do all our banking business wise via the post office to our main bank.I think it’s more likely the bank will close down that branch in 5 years to be honest1
