Applied for a DRO, what now?

Options
I applied late last week for a DRO to clear around £28k.

Is it normal for the wait now to be 6-8 weeks please?

also my bank is always in and out of minus but I didn’t add it as a debt as it’s usually only around £20 max until I’m paid again. What if when they check they see it’s minus, will they shut it down please? It’s not linked to other debts.

Thank you

If this is just your initial application, there will be a waiting time, as intermediaries are busy.

Who did you apply to ?

This is not bankruptcy, your bank account will not be checked, nor will it be shut down or frozen.

Thank you Sourcrates. I went through Stepchange for it. I’ve sent them all the information they need so fingers crossed it’s all ok and goes ahead in the next few weeks.
I’ll just be glad when it’s all accepted and paid for so I can breathe a sigh of relief from my debts slightly 😊

Some banks do check the insolvency register and downgrade the account to a basic one. Nat West used to do this but I'm not sure who does/doesn't now.

You should really try to organise things so you don't need that overdraft. Definitely don't pay any debts that are going into the DRO.
