Phoenix (Pl2) incorrect direct debit

We have had our endowment for 23 years and paid the same amount all that time. In December Phoenix (Pl2) collected incorrect amount and for this Jan they took out of my bank account 3 months worth at once, which was alot of money. I called them to be told that they are aware of direct debit problems and a letter is on it's way. Has anybody had the same problem? Have you had a letter? Anybody get their money back? Thanks

Speak to your bank to reverse the DD if needed1

That may actually cause more hassle. As Phoenix will likely be in the process of refunding and if the bank does it as well then the OP will end up owing Phoenix money again.penners324 said:Speak to your bank to reverse the DD if neededI am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
