Bank Account and Credit accounts still showing.

Hi guys.
1st question. I held a current account with Santander up until my Bankruptcy was granted earlier last year. I assumed the account would be closed and any funds left in the account would either go to the Bankruptcy or be sent to me. 9 months later the current account is still open, although frozen. Shouldn’t this account have been closed down. (I can still log into the account via online banking)
not fussed about the £3 balance in the account just wondered if this account should of been closed down once the Bankruptcy people had finished their checks. The Santander account was my main account before Bankruptcy. Should I get in touch with the Insolvency team.

Next question. I included all debts in my application. However when I log into my credit file I can see the majority of the debts that were there before the order was issued. Am I right in thinking once I am discharged in April/May 2022 these debts will be removed from my credit file (think I read somewhere it takes a couple of months for records to be updated after discharge), effectively leaving my file blank. Or do they remain on there until 6 year anniversary of the default placed on the debt.
Thanks guys

Nothing is removed from your credit file due to bankruptcy.
Your accounts, after discharge, should all show a default date no later than the date of your bankruptcy, all should show a zero balance, and all should be marked as either satisfied or settled.
Entries will drop off your file after 6 years.
Your bank account, may initially have been frozen by the bank, but it won`t automatically be closed by non use, if you want it closed, ask the bank to close it.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. There is also a chance it wont get closed at all if you didnt even mention it.
I still have my Halifax current account, I opened it in the 90s, stopped using it in 2012, went bankrupt 2013, went back to using it as my main account then. Was never closed as I never mentioned it. Dont take this as advice, just how it worked for me.1 -

I don’t actually want the account closed as I hope to return to using it once I have been discharged. Just wondered why it was still open/frozen when my understanding was once the OR had finished their checks it would automatically close by the Bank due to my credit status.0
