@YorksLass what a shock for her, I hope she's feeling better today. It's such a random and unexpected thing to happen that you never quite know how you're going to be in the aftermath. Glad she didn't lose too much in terms of items, and I hope she won't lose too much confidence when the shock wears off.

For anyone looking for pepsi max, Iceland have it on offer £7 for 24 cans. If you're over 60 it will cost £6.30 today. Don't drink it myself but it's the cheapest I've seen it for a while.5

I don't use my Nationwide card often but have used it in the last few weeks when shopping in certain places.💙💛 💔8 -
I'm currently trying to detox myself from fizzy drinks. This is day 6. I know that some people will think that's mad, but I think they are really addictive. At least they are to me.
I'm also cutting back on the treats/sugar, and increasing my movement. Bought a cheap fitness watch from Amazon to help track my steps. Which is encouraging me to go for a walk at lunchtime more often.
I am so pleased that the sun is shining this week. Fed the ducks at lunchtime with DD.
Has anyone tried Jamie Oliver's aromatic veg broth from his 'under £1' meals this week? Looks like something I'd enjoy, but also seems to require quite a lot of ingredients that I don't think many people have in their stock cupboard. I have quite a few (from experimenting with other recipes), but I don't have white miso paste (for example).February wins: Theatre tickets8 -

"£1 or less per portion recipes were calculated using costs from an average of four UK supermarkets in September 2022."
I wonder what the costs are today?
I have loads of ingredients but I don't have miso paste (white or any other colour). We’ve calculated the cost per portion by the amount used, rather than the whole ingredient cost, as we believe you’ll already have many of the ingredients in your store cupboard/fridge/freezer.And I doubt many other people have either.

Good luck on giving up fizzy drinks @euronorris
A good time with the dental charges going up,
Band 1 £23.80 to £25.80
Band 2 £65.20 to £70.70.
Band 3 £282.80 to £306.80.
There are no NHS dentists available in many areas. A friend of DD had to pay £90 for emergency treatment for a 6 year old.8 -

Thank you for making others aware.
Will definitely download the bonus card.6 -
I picked up my Iceland bonus card in store ages ago and just had to activate it online. it was long before the 10% Tuesday offers for over 60's but by having the card you got some items at special bonus price. A bit like tescos clubcard.6

We had our members’ free hot drinks at Dobbies Garden Centre. I took a vintage Tupperware box for the second ‘2 for the price of 1’ cream scone, for DH to have it later, as I was having a special hot chocolate.
I did a bit of first aid in the restaurant, the patient recovered. I was impressed with the staff first aiders.
When it was sorted DH and I were brought a nice pot of tea which I was very glad to sit and drink.11
