Has your direct debit gone out yet? Has it been reduced by the £66?💙💛 💔5 -

Felt inspired to check my energy bill just now (Sainsburys) - nothing!
Obviously I cannot do without energy but my usage is minimal so any bill feels like money for old rope. It is in fact blood money. No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.7 -
Octopus have reduced DDs by the monthly amount so I can see that money in my bank account rather than in my energy account.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

So far this month I have not been to a shop to buy anything
I am away from 12th october for 5 days so trying to buy as least as possible this month.I am using up lots of odds and ends in the fridge first so nothing goes to waste. As i was up early today and whizzed around catching up on several over due jobs as I have to pick my grandson up and take to work at 8.20 I thought i'd better eat something as afterwards I have my weekly coffee orning to go to.So I rummaged around and used the last two weekabix up for breakfast along with a cuppa. so another empty packet
used up .lunch will be the other half of the tin of tuna I opened yesterday with some chopped tomatoes and some little gem lettuce, some sliced beetroot and grated cheese on a wrap from my freezer thats defrosting in the fridge. Using up what ever I can find and trying not to buy for a few more days..luckily living alone means I can please myself what I eat so odd mixed meals I fine by me:)
I think we will all be using up more stuff before shopping as the winter wears on as a way of hanging on to our cash
JackieO xx
P.S. just checked my Shell Energy account ,and mine too had the £66.00 put in to my account and now am at £334 in credit, yet they suggest I increase my account payment by £2.00 a monthBearing in mind that my last months bill for duel fuel was £39

I've just had the £66 added to my bulb account, despite previously being told the money would be refunded after my DD was paid. The same message says my DD will increase this month by £3.707

Thats why multi nationals like Procter & Gamble, Unilever, and GSK have done so well. GSK sold off their consumer business for £30 billions - and named it Haleon. But when you drill down it sells Sensoydyne toothpaste or Panadol and whatnot for £3 when you can but a similar product for 50p - £1.
Luckily this type of rises we can easily swerve, in fact if you can probably spend less than pre covid. Remember the power of advertising and use logic not emotion engendered by advertising.15
