When I had a problem with an online order (dented tins, iirc) I just sent an email with details of the order no. etc and explained what the problem was.YorksLass said:
Tbf, it's the first time I've had this problem but I wish I'd read the customer reviews before ordering as it seems I'm not the only unhappy person. It does beg the question of whether they bother to act on the poor reviews though. I think a formal complaint may be the way forward - after all, if you don't ask you don't get!mumtoomany said:@YorksLass, i would complain about the poorly picked shopping. I have several times in the past when we used have deliveries. Tesco and Asda have both refunded with no bother, and been very apologetic, HTH, mumtoomany.xx
I got an apology and an online voucher from them - I wouldn't bother with reviews myself.2024 Fashion on the Ration - 10/66 coupons used

Was this the aquacare plus tariff do you know?Auntycaz said:Just wanted to say a big thank you to Jackie O for posting about getting a reduction on your water rates when you are on a low income. I rang Anglian water yesterday and after answering a couple of quick questions they have put me on a lower tarriff and also backdated it to April. So I now have a 50% on my water rates and also a small refund.. Hope this helps someone else. You do need to have to have a water meter but i had one already.Me, DD1 20, DS 18, DD2 15, Debt Free 04/18, Single Mum since 11/195 -
No, it was called LITE (low income tarrif for eligible households). I had never heard about it until Jackie O posted about the tariff she was on with Southern water, so I just gave Anglian water a call to see if they did anything similar..slm6002 said:

I’m with Welsh Water (not for profit). I requested a meter not long after we moved into our current home. Their surveyor attended and confirmed it was not possible to fit a meter, and as a consequence we’d be moved onto their lowest tariff.6

Certainly worth checking with your water company.
When I moved into my flat 3 months ago I did a financial assessment with Anglian Water who came back and said standard tariff was cheapest for me.
Last week I had an email to say that they had updated the terms for Lite tariff and I have been moved onto that, backdated to my last bill.
I will now get a 25% discount and my monthly payment amount has decreased on their advice by £4 per month.
I expect to be able to skip a few payments at some point as i'm already quite a bit in credit!
I have access to my meter and send a reading monthly.9 -
I'm so glad it helped, some one told me about it two years ago and I too had a refund and a discount , and i'm with Southern Water, and I too phoned them up and they were really nice and helpful. These days it helps to get anything you can to help with the bills.Auntycaz said:Just wanted to say a big thank you to Jackie O for posting about getting a reduction on your water rates when you are on a low income. Not been a great day really started well then went a bit down hill. I had my 5th Covid booster jab, got the flu one tomorrow and happened to tell the pharmasist that since my fall about 10 days ago
I was hoping to feel better, but actually was feeling worse .She advised me to go to A&E asap as I had a pain when breathing in. I have not had any bruising so I just thought it wasn't worth worrying about .
Dropped DGS off to catch his coach as he is off to France for five days with his Uni pals and popped into our local hospital. Spent the next 5 hours being poked and prodded and seeing two different Drs, and after xrays it seems i have two cracked ribs hence the chest pain.Daft old woman that I am
Just got home loaded with pain killers etc and thoroughly cheesed off , so I'm off to bed for an early night . Got a ticking off from the young Dr for not coming in sooner
but I just thought it would go away eventually.Eldest DD is in Tennerife until Sunday, and I better not tell her untill she comes home ,no point it will only get her steamed up. Oh well we live and learn I guess
Night all

This is why over on the energy board they say don’t assume the IHD is correct, and always take actual check readings from the meter itself at least every few months just to be sure everything is showing correctly too. Sadly suppliers often are slow to update the IHD’s, in spite of knowing that consumers often do rely on them.Si_Clist said:
Only if you've been with them 3 years, I believe. Be that as it may, if you're on a smart meter and are using the information it provides to work out how much it costs you to run a bath or whatever, it's worth checking that the display is actually showing you the correct unit rates. We've only just realised that whereas we thought our gas was costing us 4.09p/kWh because that's what it says on the display, the actual cost is 9.29p! Ovo now have to send a message or whatever to our gas meter to correct this, and that's going to take a few weeks 'cos (surprise, surprise) they have a backlog.GillyLucy said:I get interest on my OVO credit balance (5%) for credit balance up to £1000.Not sure if this is available to new customers but at least they do pay you in credit balance situations.
It's only the cost per unit on the display that's adrift, btw - everything else is correct. Apparently ...
Check what your display is showing against your actual tariff rates showing in your account. And once every three months - actual “from the meter” readings as a fail safe.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
