Facebook sharing on mag dailies

Morning guys!

ive noticed that only around 2 of the mag dailies now offer the option of sharing on Facebook for an additional entry, is that right? Or should I try it on another device?

I'm happy to be corrected but I don't think this gives you an extra entry into the competition you have just entered.

These competition websites have a limit to the number of competitions you enter each day, say for example, 25 on that particular website, by sharing you will be able to enter 26 competitions.

I hope that makes some sense.

I just entered a competition on Good House Keeping and had the option.
I'm not sure if it is a permanent change, I have seen a few people mentioning pages not loading correctly and I couldn't view all of the terms and conditions on my laptop or phone and I tried different browsers, so they could just be having issues with their sites.

I just entered a competition on Good House Keeping and after entering received the following:

Share on facebook to automatically receive an additional correct entry (Facebook Icon) (Twitter Icon)

I always do the facebook share when I enter and have been able to do it as normal on most sites. I've had one or two sites where it hasn't worked one day but has the next. 
I've just been doing them this morning and halfway through they have all started coming up with '504 gateway timeout'. This happened to me the other day but an hour or so later had righted itself so I think they have been having a lot of problems lately.

I've always assumed that the FB share gives an extra entry into that specific comp, I have to say though that I haven't won anymore since it was introduced a few years ago, if anything I win less these days!

may I ask what browser/device you use, I might need to do some jiggery pokery!

yeah that’s what it used to be back in the day, when I started back in 2008, that’s what sharing on the mag dailies gave you, another “ticket” as it were, to have another go after the max number allotted that day had been used, but for the last few years it’s been an additional correct entry for that comp, that day xxx thanks for your input though I appreciate it x

Just for context, I share the ones I want to win most, and my mum who also enters daily, never shares (she does not have FB) has won 8 or 9 times in the past couple of years, whereas I have won once. Don't think it makes much difference

This morning I was able to share on all the ones I enter apart from Good to Know which hasn't worked for a while for me. A couple of months ago I had the same issue with Red but it seems to have righted itself.

Good to Know hasn't worked since they changed web addresses to https://competitions.goodto.com. Apart from this and Woman Magazine, I can get all of the rest to work. There was a period recently when the sites kept randomly failing throughout the day (I'd click the FB button, the popup would work & disappear, but no entry box would show). I now enter a comp that I don't want to win (with the wrong answer) just so I can test if the site is working. I know it uses up a daily entry out of my quota, but I never get anywhere near that number. For info, I'm using Win10 & Firefox along with various combinations of adblockers.

I always thought it meant and extra comp rather than another entry to that comp if you know I mean. 

 I personally think that, sharing is counterproductive as the more people you share with, the more people that do that comp therefor the less chance you have of winning it. It’s the same with over tagging on twitter and Facebook I have seen people tag 20 30 people a time when it requires no tags I cant see the point. But that's just me.
