Getting a SodaStream

I bought my wife a Sodastream at Xmas (she wanted to try and be a bit greener rather than buying bottles and the associated bottles going to recycle etc)
I appreciate you need to buy gas for these things and looking on their website see two options for the gas.
The first s a subscription of 12 gas cylinders for the year which costs £120 (you also get free delivery, and 10% of purchases of flavours)
The second is a subscription to get 12 gas cylinders for the year which costs £150 (you also get free delivery, and 10% of purchases of flavours) but also you get a FREE machine (valued at £80)
What I can't fathom is why is a subscription with a FREE machine £30 more than a subscription without a machine? Surely that means the FREE machine is actually £30.
I tried contacting customer services but their explanation was they are two different offers, but the only difference in the offer is the FREE machine.
Does this make sense to anyone else?
