Hi I’m hopefully going to be a first time buyer using the wales help to buy scheme for the equity loan. Been waiting ages for the plots to go live due to delays!
So I got an AIP ok when they were previously due to go live so the mortgage side seems ok to get.
I’ve been reading more about wales help to buy though as there’s more info than last year and am concerned. I do have ccjs, one which is over £500 and I just read an article that said the eligibility criteria states no ccjs over £500 - so now I am very concerned and wondering if I pay most of it off so it’s below £500 then does that bring me back to being eligible or is it over £500 when the ccj happened? It’s not much over £500 now.

Also I am new to all of this, it says to use a financial advisor from their list; is that the same as my mortgage broker? Finding it very confusing! Does it mean I should actually use their advisers for the mortgage so basically start again with getting an AIP or are they just for the help to buy loan?
Please can someone help as my broker doesn’t seem to know that much about wales help to buy …
