Deeds and Transfer of Ownership

Hi, 
First of all apologies if I have posted this on an incorrect forum. My brother and I have jointly inherited our parents house and are in possession of the deeds. We will be keeping the house, please can you advise a) the process to follow for transfer of ownership names on deeds and b) if it could be transferred into my name only without any extra cost implications. Thank you

Are you also the executors / administrators of the estate? If not the transfer needs to be done by whoever is.

If your brother is gifting his share to you then yes you can transfer it to your sole name, although if he is doing this doing it by deed of variation would be wise in case he dies within 7 years where his share would still form part of his estate if he simply gifted it.
