How long does it take to receive redemption statement

Hi everyone, I am first time buyer due to complete on 2nd February 2022. 

My solicitor told me that the seller solicitor is waiting to receive the redemption statement before they agree to exchange. 

Yesterday, when I called estate (purplebricks), they have informed me that the seller solicitor chased it up again yesterday morning. Haven’t heard anything since. 

How long does it normally take for a redemption statement to come and is it normal that it sometimes gets delayed.

If they can send it via email will be a lot faster. I find that the post is delayed nowadays.
