Prize 'No Longer Available'?!

I won a 3 in 1 pan in the Knorr advent competition. I no longer enter for prizes I couldn't directly use and with a child who freaks out about foods touching this seemed a great item they would love to have at uni. I responded to the WEM same day as per instructions, then followed up a month later when I still hadn't received the prize.
Last week having heard nothing I emailed yet again, left a phone message and contacted Knorr UK on Twitter which seems to have prompted a response by email today telling me "Apologies for the delay, your emails were caught up with a few others after Christmas. Unfortunately, the prize you signed up for is no longer available although I can offer you one of the other prizes that we have available.". The alternate prize is a Hairy Bikers cook book or a trial product box you can pick up very cheaply online, neither of which are of any interest to me.
What would your response be?

They read to me as if they must substitute for a prize of equal or greater value? In which case both the alternate prizes together don't come close to the correct value, and I have no use for them anyway. But there are dreams that cannot be,and there are storms we cannot weather!2 -

If you have proof of the value of the original prize and the substitutions that they're offering I would politely point this out and quote the terms to them. See how that goes - I'm not sure what you will be able to do after that. A more seasoned comper than myself may be able to help if they're not budging on their offer2 -
3 in 1 pans can be picked up for under £15 - unless they were specifying one that cost more then a hardback cookbook could easily have an rrp of at least that.
From the list of prizes I would guess the 1 prize of Procooks Pots is the most expensive but the rest are potentially quite low in value (30 Degusta Boxes £13 each and many of the other prizes are probably under £20)2
