Non-coded income?

in Cutting tax
Hi all,
Not sure if this is the right board but I have a tax-related question I'm hoping someone can help me with! 😊
I've been on the HMRC app, and noticed an amount under 'non-coded income'. What is that? I work under both PAYE (seems to be correctly listed) and self-employed. Could it be what HMRC think I'll bring in SE this year? Do they do that for some reason?
Thanks for amy replies. I don't want to be overpaying and not realising!

It's almost certainly related to your self employment.
HMRC use it in calculating your code in case it means you need a reduced Personal Allowance, for example PAYE income £70,000 and non coded income £40,000.
For most people though it won't actually alter the make up of their tax code.1 -
Thank you so much! It does sound about right for the part time self employment income based on last year.Dazed_and_C0nfused said:It's almost certainly related to your self employment.
