Hi all
Ordered a kodak camera off boots, they had none in stock so sent me the free dock as a good will gesture, now i still need a kodak camera, any ideas where is the cheapest place to get one? No camera expert, just want a digital one to take photo's of children and to be able to take advantage of free on-line prints when available. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks In Advance

Try Pixmania, VERY nice ppl to deal with (no, I don't work 4 them, just used them a couple of times & they gave superb service & great prices).

Tesco don't sell Kodak cameras though and unless they have an offer on Argos are very expensive.
Also, If it were me I would spend a little extra and go for the CX7330. It has an Optical zoom in addition to the digital zoom. (Digital zoom disorts the picture, optical doesn't). Also, I would get some Kodak rechargeable batteries as the dock charges your battery as well as transferring your pics on to your pc.
I have the Kodak CX7530 and dock and I love it. Its simple to use and produces superb photos (indoor as well as out!). My camera came with the rechargeable batteries too not sure if the CX7330 does too. The only thing I need now is a camera case."There are no pockets in a shroud..."0 -
look around the local area get a price, and go into jessops and price watch it, push a hard bargain and they will discount cards etc as well, had some good savings from them. hope this helps, dont get the 7300, you want optical zoom as the lens is way better even if you dont use it, makes the quality very good.
if you have any other questions PM me (i work in the ''industry'' ;-))0 -
Hi All
Im probably looking at the CX7330, cheapest i found is £130 at boots with free dock, but as i said i have the dock so does anyone know of anywhere cheaper please?

I have Kodak CX7530. Brilliant, very easy to use, nice vivid pictures. I bought it from park cameras, highly recommend them.
You may try pricerunner.co.uk for the cheapest deals, also look at the feedback ratings, avoid Pixmania (French) or 7dayshop (Jersey), as you may have problems for returns, guarantee etc. Consider the p&p as well. Also try Ebuyer, apperently not the best for customer service if you need to return, but very competetive and I never had problems with them.
Never go for pixel count(resolution) alone, 5MP is enough for prints up to A5 size. Optics matters more, go for brands which have reputations for good conventional cameraa. If you print online, i highly recommend photobox, not the cheapest, but argably the best.
Also look for the optical zoom (X3) , ignore digital zoom. SD and CF memories are cheaper than other patented flash memories.
Ebuyer is doing the camera for £119.30 inc. p&p. Get a 256mb(£16) or 128mb(£10) SD card at the same p&p. (each photo at max resolution ~1mb).
You need a rapid charger with high capacity NiMH (not NiCd) rechargable battery. I am happy with GMK batteries I used once, look for Uniross or some other reputed company.
Hope this helps.
P.S.: I have no financial or other interest in any of the companies I mentioned above.
Thanks,
