wonder if the same as Full House a few years ago, lots not buying mag but doing comps on line, that is what sunk Full House.

The sector has been in decline for many years - The biggest seller TAB over the last 13 years has dropped from a circulation of over 1,000,000 to "Take a Break still leads the field with a combined print and digital (gross) circulation over 335,000 on average weekly".
The last closed Real People thread had only 1907 views (not unique users so the number of people who looked at the thread is likely to be lower) while circulation last year for the magazine was 84,934 so very unlikely the forum made a noticeable difference to the magazine - covid is likely to have played a part with some time without any impulse buys at newsstands/supermarkets etc and this closure follows "It comes just over six months after Hearst revealed plans to make a fifth of its UK staff redundant and closed Town & Country UK magazine." - "Hearst staff were told last May that, although the company was in a strong position, it needed to transform into a more modern organisation and invest in growth areas – mainly digital advertising, e-commerce and print subscriptions – because of the way the Covid-19 pandemic accelerated consumer trends."

I've just seen it on FB
I feel sorry for those that work there. It's a decent magazine.
It probably also might explain why I haven't received the £25 prize that I won in October and chased up last week. And not likely to receive now either.

Oh no! I've been chasing mine as well and they said it's waiting to be approved by accounts.
    Wins in 2023 - 35
    Wins in 2022 - 43
    Wins in 2021 - 62
    Wins in 2020 - 68

They are part of the Hearst group which has not gone bust so debts should be paid (although probably with some disruption)

They've asked me if I sent my details to then when they sent the WEM, and I sent them straightaway.
Now they are saying that they never received them, and 'emails are deleted after 2 months'. so, I've sent them again, and they are forwarding them to accounts.
That was last Thursday, and I haven't heard anything since. I chased it up as they did say that it would take up to 10 weeks for it to be sent, and I'd not seen or heard anything.
I'm resigned to the fact that I won't be getting my prize. It's really naughty of them.

It is now three months since I was notified I had won the roulette and although I have sent a couple of emails to drmi I have not had any meaningful response.
