Term time contract mistake

Options
I am employed on a term time contract, and have been in this job for 3 years. However, I believe there has been a mistake with my salary as I have been paid for full time, not term time.

I an severely worried, as I’m panicking that my employer will ask me for the money back (as they have paid me for 52 weeks of the year, not term time weeks). Is this something they could do?? Or is it something they will have to accept as their mistake?

I will no way be able to afford to pay them back. Please can someone advise me on this as surely I wouldn’t be expected to return the money to them as it was a mistake on their part??

many thanks

what does your contract say in regards to how you are paid? My wife is in the same boat, her annul salary is reduced by the relevant amount based on the days taken of for non term time and split over the 12 months. So was your starting salary reduced in a similar way? In which case i'd expect you to be fine.
