equity release

We have been turned down for ER as our ex-council property is subject to a Section 157 Covenant.  Does anyone know of a lender who might lend under this ?

I doubt you will find an equity release lender who will lend with the 157 in place unfortunately.
You don't say where you are in the country, but do you know if any others in a similar position have had any luck in getting released from the covenant?
Did you go to one of the High St lenders direct for the equity release product, or did you use an independent advisor (whole market) ?
