Do you like minced beef and which is your favourite tinned chilli?

I like tinned chilli and just finished 6 tins of Stag chilli, but I notice it doesn't contain proper mince beef, it's like ground and reconstituted into chunks and has the texture of liver, much like Tyne brand mince. I'm looking for tinned chilli with proper minced beef and only interested in TINNED. All the supermarkets do their own brand but what's your favourite?

Can honestly say that I would never eat tinned chilli and I have never tried any but according to this, Tesco & stagg neck & neck but Tesco having the better texture.

Can’t think that any would have high quality ‘proper’ mince though as most only have 23% mince so never going to be really nice https://www.northantslive.news/whats-on/food-drink/i-tried-tesco-morrisons-tinned-5307012

Stag ingredients list says ‘shaped’ mince.  I reckon that making one from scratch with 5% fat minced beef would be slightly cheaper and much nicer.

But I suspect I’m responding to a troll.

I love minced beef (and lamb/pork/chicken/turkey), it's very versatile.

Like the other 2 posters, I'd never buy tinned chilli.

    And taste is very subjective.

Yeap like I say. It's ground down and then reconstituted into chunks and has the texture of liver/kidney, a la Tyne Brand stuff.

Taste is subjective which is why I'm only asking people that like minced beef and those that eat tinned only

My point was that even if you get replies from people who do buy tinned chilli recommending a brand they like, it may not be to your taste.
  • Hi,
why not make your own from tinned stuff, as hot as you like.

I have removed two huuuuuge variables, people who don't like minced beef, and people who don't like tinned chilli, Im happy to take a risk with the options that are left
