Good evening, I recently lost my job and have been advised not to work and to receive treatment, health first. I started to claim for benefits. Are there discounts / support for using buses and trains? I need to go to hospital appointments. Thank you.

Some local authorities issue half price travel passes for unemployed, best speaking to your local benefits centre, depending on your medical state you may also be eligible to apply for a concessionary bus pass or disabled railcard.
