Quick update as another long day! Boys have cricket practice tonight so a pack up was sent to the childminders for their tea and I have prepped chicken enchilada's for DH to pop in the oven for us to have when I get home about 7.30. Keeping it Mexican he will do some nachos to go with it so the boys will probably eat most of them for their supper. Must stay strong and only buy a coffee at cricket - I like to get a drink to support them in their fundraising! It's a nice day here and the bar will be open too!
Goals! - Monday 7th JuneHealth & Wellbeing
- Calorie count - nope. Have a chest infection so just trying to stay alive
- Close the rings on my smart watch - nope see above
- Drink 2 litres of water - Yes! drank lots of water as I have a really bad cough
Financial
- Complete a spending diary and document on here - only spending yesterday was £23.80 at the dentist & £25.50 to clear my arrears on oldest school dinners (up until a few months ago he was a very fussy eater and wouldn't entertain school dinners but now he is obsessed with them and has them most days - I do feel a bit cheated paying £2.35 for jacket potato & beans when I know how cheap it is to buy and make!) Also paid for 3 gifts at £3.50 each for the PTA run fathers day shop - boys love getting to choose their own presents - this has come out of the Gifts pot.
- At least 2 NSD’s a week - still trying
- One MSE activity a day - I had half a tin of beans in the fridge from the weekend and had no plans for them. So boys had beans on toast for their tea (like to make a proper meal for us all but due to football training on a Monday they eat separately) - they'd both had school dinners so I felt it was still a decent meal and the beans didn't get thrown away!
- Make a PAD a day - Yes £2.64 sent
- Stick to budgets - need to start saying NO! - no need to say no to anything yesterday!
I will also keep a tally of what I am calling the black hole in our bills account - aim is to make £30 a week. A friend owed me £5 I had forgotten about so have added this to the account 😊
Black hole £5/£30
PAD £2.64/£30
Am a bit cheesed off as I did a PA survey for 3.10 yesterday and had an email to say i didn't do it properly so they aren't paying out and they now know my views on BREXIT 😒 I would have then cashed out and split between Black Hole and PAD!!!
xx

Great results on the targets! Hope you are feeling a bit better.
I had an email like that once on PA, and immediately replied and argued that they were unreasonable. I got credited in the end. It might be worth a go!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0
