tax office constantly cut me off

in Cutting tax
can anyone advise as to how I can deal with the tax office constantly cutting me off. They keep writing to me to say I owe more tax but when i ring to query (normally a 35 minute wait) they take my query and put me on hold. They then cut me off. Just spent 2 hours listing to music and been cut of 3 times.
any ideas? thanks

The standard answer is call them as soon as they open at 8am. Or, write to them asking them to clarify why you owe tax.0

have you tried the online chat service ?I've used it succesfully in the past, but admittedly pre-pandemic and for a relatively simple query.Note that you need to type 'advisor' to get past the automated bot to a real person
