Working for a small company?

    Is it a stable company that would be in trading for some time.
    Have you checked their records, financial statements etc.

    Uncertain times at present. Would be annoying to leave a stable place and end up worse off. 

    Saying that I left a large multinational bank for a smaller commodity firm and the bonus in the small company is so much better.

    More opportunities and scope for promotion in the bigger company.

    Each has their pros and cons.
  • I'd consider how long the business has been operating. If they're hiring that tends to mean things are going well.

    If there's a clear route in place for your career progression then it might be worth taking the risk. I'm going through a similar situation right now, the new job would be a lot more exciting but it's a smaller company.

    You can never go wrong with mapping out a list of pro's and con's for either choice.
