When to report dividends for this tax year?

I've just received £3000 in dividends so tax due on £1000 over the £2000 allowance. I take it I don't need to inform HMRC until after 6th April (next tax year)? I don't fill in a self assessment.

It depends when you want to pay the tax.
Spread over the longest period of time or the as late as possible?
NB. There is no allowance for dividends, it will all be taxed but the first £2,000 is taxed at 0%1 -
I also have another query. For the purposes of informing HMRC, could someone confirm that the cash dividend from a Vanguard Global All Cap - Income, OEIC is classed as a 'UK Dividend' and a Lloyds Banking Share dividend that is reinvested to purchase more shares is classed as a 'Stock Dividend'?0
