Ginseng no longer over the counter?

I notice ginseng tablets are no longer available on the high street or over the counter but the staff don't seem to know why, i can only web search some idea that it might give people anxiety problems.
I have searched in Boots, Lloyds, Sainsburys, Superdrug and Asda but i notice it is still on Amazon!
Anyone have any insight into this because i don't want to pay H&B prices if i can help it.

I had a quick look online and they seem readily available. It might just be a fluke that everywhere in store is sold out where you are. I can only see supermarket stock in my area, but boots have them that you can order for delivery/click and collect if they don't have them in stock where you are.
