That's big changes in a week, well done.
You'll see the savings start to increase and that will spur you on.

I can see your mindset changing. You are doing so well.
If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them.

Thank you! I've just finished the first week. I'm quite surprised as I gave myself £100 limit for 'fuel, food & fun' and I've only spent £40! So I can put the £60 into my Emergency Fund to build that up quicker.
I've been using my slow cooker and I've been planning meals. It really has made a difference 😁
Oh and when I was tempted to buy online, I made a note of it to consider at the end of the month. So I probably won't be interested by then!

Charging through the month and I've made savings. I'm considering retraining with an MSc for two years, so the thought of no income or part time income is making me squirrel away better.
It is a bit of a dull month January and I must admit to feeling a bit fed up. It will be worth it by payday and I'll feel remotivated.

Pay day today. Big change in that I wasn't overdrawn. Only had £30 in but still a different start to the month. And I've added to my savings and made a small over payment to mortgage. It's still looking good for the rest of the month.
I've been cooking all my own food and not buying rubbish and this has made a big difference. Also took all my cards offline so no internet shopping.
First month enthusiasm though. I just have to keep going now!
