Selling second hand items on pavement in front of my flat

Options
Hello,
I live on Easter Road, Edinburgh, in a flat. I have several used items I’d like to sell and I thought I could set up a table on the pavement in front of the building I live in. My question is, are there rules against doing this or are there permits I will need to obtain to do this?
Items I’m considering selling include books, DVDs, CD, old electronic good and accessories, etc.

You will likely need some form of street trader licence if the pavement does not belong to you.

As molerat says. You will need to phone the council and see what they say as they are the ones who issue permits, licences, etc. You may also have to pay some kind of fee.
