Your lists are amazing! I can never stick to mine in the slightest, it's why I have a longer list that I gradually tick things off
it's the only way my lists bear any resemblance to reality

KC I think you have the more sensible approach to lists!4 -
I'm saying nothing - I've not even made a list yet 😆

Ha, you might still win - Mr Cheery's put his back out and I've ended up driving him to the dentist 🙄 Might use it as an excuse to visit someone for a cuppa, so I won't be home til lunchtime at least - a nice headstart for you! 😂
£9.82 on the Happy Wheel this morning, but I've been wobbling up and down for days, so currently standing at £234.56 - a very pleasing orderly number 😂 Would be lovely to get up to £400 by the end of the month. I've made it over £200 the last 2 months, and I had that big £230 ish win at the start, so it's not completely out of the question... although of course not guaranteed.
Feeling a bit weirdly dissatisfied with things at the minute 🙄 Nothing specific, just that everything i do I feel like I should be doing something different 🙄 Doing lots of pondering of longer term career options too - should hear about promotion decision before the end of this month, and if I get it, fine, but if I don't...
I'll likely have a short period of throwing toys put of the pram (in private!) then decide that short term I'm best off staying put anyway - I can work 4 days, there isn't anywhere feasible that's closer to home etc.
Longer term though... yes I could go for the same promotion next year (for the third time!) Or I could jump ship... in which case, where to? There are plenty of similar places with similar length commutes - although I'd lose the convenience of being able to combine trips to work with the dentist, friends etc. Or do I want to go sideways for a bit into something a bit different?
A change of job would likely mean working full time again for a while which I'd rather not do...
Anyway, just trying to prepare myself so I don't accidentally resign in a strop! 😂6 -
Right, ordered diatomaceous earth to put in the chicken house to stop mites. Apparently I last ordered it in December 2020 so it's lasted a while, and it's also gone down in price by £2.20 - must be the only thing that's had a price reduction lately! Shame it's only £17 and will now last another 18 months 😂6

Well, so much for my list! We've only just got home from the dentist! 😂😂 Still, I'm glad I went too, as it was a good day all round.
* Mr Cheery's checkup was fine, and the thing they were worried about has now gone, thankfully. Fortuitously, the filling they put in 2 weeks ago fell out this morning, so they were able to replace that, plus the other small one they put in 2 weeks ago that had also fallen out, which he hadn't noticed. Dentist was very apologetic!
* Quick potter round our old haunt charity shops near our old house. I finally found a handbag (been looking for weeks), and also bought some hankies, a pair of jeans which I hope are long enough to wear with my sandals, and a book about the local area we now live in, which is £16 in our local village shop, and which was £1 in the charity shop. Excellent haul!
* bumped into someone i know in the street and had a nice chat.
* nipped into the local hardware shop - spent ages in there when we did up our old house (they have a very cheerful dog and will sell one screw at a time). Lovely to see them for a chat - turns out they have chickens too so we talked about them for a while 😂
* went to have a cuppa with a friend of Mr Cheery's who had open heart surgery recently. Lovely to see him looking well.
* had a cuppa with another friend whose husband died about 18 months ago. Him and Mr Cheery were very good pals and it was a big shock, unexpected and he wasn't much older than Mr Cheery. Lovely to see her (and I was very jealous of/inspired by her garden!)
Back home now, and barely anything is going to get done off my list 😂😂5 -
Some list progress has been made! Only a tiny bit, mind you 😂
* paid garage bill
* posted parcel to sister
* rang the pensions people - their system is down today so she advised leaving it a couple of days. Helpfully, she also said we could ring together, so they'll deal with me and then I can pass the phone over to Mr Cheery, so we won't both have to wait in a queue. Going to give it til Thursday or Friday I think - a combination of work and other events is going to get in the way before then.
Er, that's it 😂4 -
