Everyone .....
Thanks for all your kind words and congratulations. It really means a lot. After missing out on Uni at 18 because of the unaffordable financial cost to my parents I never thought I would see this day. Here I am aged 27, married and 3 children, and I have finally done it. It feels absolutely fantastic. It still doesn't feel real yet, but I guess it will when I actually attend my ceremony in April and I get to wear the robes. To get a 2:1 was my goal, so to get a First is just amazing.
To anyone thinking about studying I cannot recommend the Open University highly enough.Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

Well done you!!
A stunning 1st - I can only admore all the hard work you put in!
I got my Desmond this year and that was so hard.....
We had our graduation in sheffield in November - gown, scarf and hat hire was arund the £40 i think.
Now it is onwards and upwards to the next degree!
I now that sounds terrible but that is sense amongst the madness. I started an OU degree and completed 4 years - then moved to a full time OT course (the one I have just passed). Now have been informed that I can transfer some points to the OU degree - only need 120 but still a level 3 short for the honours bit. So not sure if I cna opt for a degree with honours and finish now or will have to do a level 3 Sociology course.
Well done again - I know how hard it is ~(single mum with 2 stroppy teenagers here)November NSD 1/10Weight loss - 7lbs from the 41 I need to loose = 34 to go0 -
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!
