cifas cat 6 help!

To sum things up I have basically been given a cat 6 CIFAS marker for misuse of facility, this happened due to my details being stolen to create bank accounts and I’m working on getting this resolved. But whilst I wait im trying to figure out what to do with my wages! I cant seem to find any prepaid cards which will take me, I asked at the bank if my dad can receive my wages but got told by Lloyds that they arent sure if it will result in his bank account being closed or not. Which is obviously serious too. Please any advice will be appreciated I’m a 20 year old girl and I’m so worried that my life is over due to other peoples actions.

What exactly did the fraudsters do?

Also who registered it, you don’t just get one for opening new accounts they’ve most likely sent log money(fraud money) into it

Yes thats exactly what happened, Monzo registered it. Honestly I didn’t authorise this. I emailed them today and I’m waiting for a response back, but I have no clue what they will say cause I have no proof and I’m not sure how I even would prove that this wasn’t done by me. I have so much anxiety and think about this all day as if they simply don’t believe me my future is about to be down the drain.

My brother was in the same situation as you but he opened a Think Money account, £10 monthly bear in mind but it’s a good option for you I’d say.

hey did he have a cat 6 too? i have heard of think money, i tried cashplus a different pre paid card but they shut my account after a week so just worried i will try this one and it will fail too

It you willingly allowed the fraudsters to send you money and you took a split (as most people fall for that) then your stuck with this for 6 years, no credit/finance mortgage/bank/etc, but you can get a final response letter from monzo then contact financial ombudsman

no i didnt allow this or take any money from it, but yeah just waiting to hear back from them
