Paying Tax Return

My tax return letter said I could pay direct debit through gov.uk/pay-tax-direct-debit so logged in and paid with debit card.  I paid HMRC Shipley.   Is this the easiest way to pay?

It looks like you have paid successfully. However, a direct debit is requested by the person to whom you are paying. It’s just the terminology that is incorrect.
