Extended self certification

Not sure if this has been posted before but the self certification for sickness has been extended to 28 days.

    For many people there's a wait of at least 28 days to see a doctor!
    Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!

    Now that makes much more sense. Although I'm retired I could see this being abused in a huge way

    I agree, it is open to abuse and there is no doubt that some will take full advantage of the change.  Unfortunately many GP surgeries are now seeing emergency patients only, at least until the New Year in order to get as many jabs in arms as possible.

    That's a relief as it was a sudden huge jump from 7 days to 28 days.
